Flooring has been finished

The flooring has been finished in the kitchen/bathroom extension and the deck only has one more coat of waterproofing to be applied.
The little owner has taken real ownership of the house and loves to come and tidy up after the builders.

We are currently getting quotes to get the floors sanded and polished - this is one job that we wont wait to do as it will produce so much dust.
The bath has been framed up - there is a 100mm ledge around the edge of the bath.. perfect for a wine glass *wink*

We have stairs

The stairs were delivered and installed on Monday, which has made the builders happy (not to mention us.. that big hole was giving me the shivers)
The little 'inspector' thinks they are great and keeps wanting to go up and down them - started us on fitness schedule I think)

You'll see that the flooring has been laid at the entrance way too

Yesterday and today the flooring is being laid in the kitchen/bathroom. It would have been finished yesterday if the place I called last Thursday kept their word and put aside the flooring we needed, instead the **** went and sold it in the weekend - despite there being a sold sign on it. Was a little frustrating to say the least.

You'll also notice the deck is being waterproofed (our carport will be under it) the contractor who is doing it for us is a golfer at Dads golf club, he told us our options for colour is a choice of Grey, Grey or Grey (which luckily works in with our colour scheme) but we found out last week he was being cheeky as we do have a choice of other colours - we have decided to stick with Grey.

I havent grilled the builder as to what the next step is so I cant say for sure.. Im guessing it will be to finally start closing the place in.

Open Plan

Now I know we wanted a house that was opened planned living but I think this might be taking things a bit far! :)
The builders have been in and demo'd the rest that needed to be taken down.
This is the entrance way.
Behind the entrance way (this is where the leadlight window will be)
The view from the back of the house. The back wall has been taken down as it is being extended by 1.5mtrs and a deck thats about 3 mtrs x 8mtrs from memory.

The view from our Kitchen Window. We are going to be putting in a bifold window here so the cook can still interact with guests if they're on the deck.

Standing in the dinning room.

Next step... convince the builders to come back! hahah kidding they are taking off for a few days to do another job then back next week with a vengence.

Before the walls can go back up we need to have a wrap inspection by the council, I understand this will be done at some stage next week.

Once thats done the outside walls/weatherboard can be put back up, then the windows put in, then the gib boarding of the interior.
